Astro Lithium uses a chemistry called Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP). LFP batteries are renowned for their safety. When lithium battery fires are reported, these incidents typically involve different Lithium-Ion battery chemistries. Our batteries, on the other hand, are based on the Lithium Iron Phosphate technology, which employs a distinct and significantly more stable chemistry.Characterized by exceptional thermal and chemical stability, Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries remain cool even under higher temperatures. These batteries are also resistant to combustion, even when subjected to mishandling during rapid charging and discharging phases or in the event of short-circuit scenarios. Unlike other lithium-ion batteries, Lithium Iron Phosphate does not succumb to thermal runaway, as its phosphate cathode does not catch fire or explode when overcharged or overheated, maintaining the battery's coolness throughout.
